Product Overview
MFZ-2 Turbine Cylinder Sealing Liniment is specifically designed for sealing the joint surfaces of turbine cylinders in power stations and industrial applications. It is a single-component, solvent-free, 100% solid-content sealant that cures instantly upon heating. Free of asbestos, halogen, and other harmful components to human health, it offers excellent high-temperature resistance. Its performance indicators fully meet the operational requirements of power units up to 300MW. It can be used standalone or combined with copper-asbestos gaskets for high-temperature sealing on other thermal furnace piping flanges.
Applicable Units
This product is suitable for steam turbine units of 300MW and below where the joint surface clearance of the cylinder is slightly large but close to specification requirements (with a maximum clearance not exceeding 0.15mm).

Application Instructions

Surface Preparation: The cylinder joint surface must be thoroughly cleaned and free of any oil, foreign matter, or dust.

Application: Stir the sealing liniment thoroughly and uniformly, then apply it to the cylinder surface at a thickness of 0.5–0.7mm. Leave a certain margin around the bolt holes and the inner edge of the cylinder surface to prevent the sealant from entering the flow system.

Cleanup: After closing the cylinder and tightening the bolts, wipe away any excess sealing liniment that squeezes out around the perimeter.

Curing: No waiting or standing time is required after closing the cylinder; the sealing liniment will cure automatically as the unit starts up and heats up.
Precautions

For units with severely deformed cylinder surfaces or flatness clearances that exceed standard limits, the cylinder surface must undergo repair and reconditioning. Do not apply the sealing liniment until the clearance and flatness meet the required specifications.

During winter construction, if the ambient temperature drops below -5°C, the sealing liniment may thicken and harden. It is recommended to place the product in a warmer environment before use to allow it to recover its proper consistency before application.
