XFG-1F China made 1/2 inch diaphragm valve

Product Overview

The XFG-1F diaphragm valve is a special valve body with a nominal diameter of 1/2 inch. It serves as a critical on-off control component for the pipeline system of hydrogen dryers, specially matched with hydrogen drying equipment in the hydrogen cooling system of generating units. A rubber diaphragm inside the valve separates the medium flow passage. Opening and closing operations enable connection and shutoff of the hydrogen pipeline to control the on-off of hydrogen inlet, hydrogen outlet and blowdown pipelines of the dryer, realizing equipment isolation for maintenance, process switching and medium cut-off.

The diaphragm structure completely isolates the valve stem transmission mechanism from hydrogen medium, fundamentally eliminating the risk of hydrogen leakage and delivering excellent sealing performance. It is a standard spare part for maintenance and replacement of hydrogen dryers in hydrogen-cooled units of power plants, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the hydrogen drying system.

Structure and Technical Features

The main body of the XFG-1F valve is forged from high-quality cast steel with a compact integral structure and favorable pressure resistance. It adapts to the rated working pressure of hydrogen pipelines and withstands high-pressure impact and gas pressure fluctuation. The core internal sealing part adopts a special hydrogen corrosion-resistant rubber diaphragm sheet. The diaphragm features resistance to hydrogen permeation, low-temperature aging and corrosion by trace water vapor. It opens and closes pipelines through deformation without packing sealing structure, avoiding air leakage caused by packing wear of conventional globe valves.

The 1/2-inch small-bore size fits small branch pipelines, sampling pipelines and blowdown pipelines of dryers. It has compact installation dimensions and occupies little space.

The valve features light manual operation for opening and closing with a short stroke, allowing operators to quickly isolate pipelines. The straight-through flow channel design brings low gas flow resistance, prevents hydrogen pressure buildup and effectively stabilizes the hydrogen flow rate inside the dryer. All components are machined with high precision. Standard flange or threaded connection enables convenient on-site disassembly and assembly. Only the diaphragm sealing part needs regular replacement later to restore sealing performance, lowering maintenance costs. The integral explosion-proof and leakage-proof design meets the service requirements for flammable and explosive hydrogen medium.

Installation, Operation, Maintenance and Overhaul Points

It is installed on inlet, outlet, blowdown and bypass branch pipelines of hydrogen dryers. Ensure reliable sealing of threaded or flange joints during connection with uniform tightening torque to prevent hydrogen leakage at interfaces. Daily inspection focuses on checking hydrogen leakage odor and abnormal condensation on the valve outer wall and diaphragm. During regular unit overhaul, conduct a tightness pressure test on the XFG-1F diaphragm valve. Check the diaphragm for aging damage, cracking and deformation. Replace the diaphragm or the whole valve immediately once sealing fails.

Valve leakage will easily trigger safety hazards due to escaping hydrogen. If the valve gets stuck and cannot shut off, the dryer cannot be isolated for maintenance, hindering unit shutdown and overhaul work.

Application Fields and Service Scenarios

The XFG-1F 1/2-inch diaphragm valve is specially applied to the hydrogen drying system of hydrogen-cooled turbo-generator units in thermal power plants and gas power stations. Mounted on supporting pipelines of generator hydrogen dryers, it controls branch pipelines for drying adsorption, regeneration heating, blowdown and venting. It is also widely equipped for hydrogen treatment equipment of hydrogen-cooled generator units in hydropower plants and turbo-generator units of self-owned power plants, and partially used for pipeline control of high-purity hydrogen drying and purification units in the chemical industry.

As a dedicated valve spare part for hydrogen drying systems, it is commonly stocked in power plant spare parts warehouses. With reliable explosion isolation and leakage prevention performance, it acts as an indispensable control fitting for the safe operation of dryers on hydrogen-cooled units.
