Product Overview
The DQS-76 electric contact water level gauge is an intelligent dual-color liquid level display and control instrument. Serving as the secondary display terminal in an electric contact level measurement system, it pairs with a measuring column and ceramic electrodes to form a complete water level monitoring unit. It is specifically designed for the continuous measurement, display, and alarm control of water levels in industrial boiler drums and various pressure vessels. Operating on the principle of conductivity differences between water and steam, the gauge collects liquid level switch signals via electrodes. These signals are processed by an internal intelligent circuit to provide real-time water level display through digital readouts and dual-color light bars. Featuring capabilities for analog transmission output, alarm control, and communication networking, it is a core monitoring device for the safe operation of boilers in industries such as thermal power, cogeneration, and chemical processing.
Structure & Technical Features
The DQS-76 adopts a panel-mounted intelligent integrated structure with a standard cutout of 152×76mm. It offers optional horizontal or vertical installation to adapt to industrial instrument panel layouts. The core utilizes imported custom integrated circuits (ICs) combined with a microcontroller (MCU), featuring high integration, strong anti-interference, and stable operation, effectively solving common issues in traditional instruments such as “water clinging,” “false water levels,” and “signal drift.”
- Intuitive Dual Display: Synchronous display via LED digital readouts and a dual-color light bar (red for steam, green for water) makes the water level status clear at a glance.
- Multi-electrode Adaptability: Supports 5 to 32-point electrode inputs with freely configurable measurement points, adapting to different ranges and accuracy requirements.
- Comprehensive Signal Output: Standard 4-20mA / 0-10mA linear transmission output, compatible with DCS/PLC systems; 4-channel alarm output (dual control for upper and lower limits) with a contact capacity of AC220V/1A.
- Intelligent Communication: RS485 interface supporting multi-host/single-host communication with CRC-16 error checking, facilitating remote monitoring and data uploading.
- Wide Voltage & Weather Resistance: Operating power supply of AC100-240V; ambient temperature range of -20°C to +50°C; relative humidity ≤85%. Adapts to high-temperature, high-humidity, and strong electromagnetic industrial environments.
- Durable Materials: Flame-retardant and corrosion-resistant outer shell, with moisture-proof and dust-proof internal circuitry. Ensures reliable long-term continuous operation with low maintenance requirements.
Working Principle, Installation & Operation
The water level measurement system consists of a measuring column, ceramic electrodes, and the DQS-76 secondary instrument. The measuring column is connected to the boiler drum, and the water level inside the column synchronizes with that of the drum. The ceramic electrodes are distributed along the height; since water is conductive and steam is insulating, changes in the liquid level alter the on/off status of the electrodes. The DQS-76 collects these switch signals and converts them into precise water level values, while the dual-color light bar visually distinguishes the steam/water interface.
Installation follows standard panel-mounting practices with proper wiring. The electrode lead length should be ≤200m, and routing should avoid strong electromagnetic interference sources. Before commissioning, zero and span calibration must be completed. During daily operation, regularly check the cleanliness of the electrodes and verify instrument parameters to prevent measurement distortion caused by scale or dirt covering the electrodes; for long-term shutdowns, disconnect the power and protect against moisture to ensure the instrument’s lifespan and accuracy.
Application Fields & Use Scenarios
The DQS-76 water level gauge is primarily applied in industrial and mining enterprises such as power generation, cogeneration, chemical engineering, metallurgy, and textiles. It is specifically designed for water level monitoring in high-temperature and high-pressure vessels including boiler drums, high/low-pressure heaters, deaerators, evaporators, condensers, and water tanks.
- Power Industry: Real-time monitoring of boiler drum water levels in thermal and cogeneration power plants, ensuring unit safety and preventing accidents caused by overfilling or water shortage.
- Chemical / Metallurgy: Liquid level monitoring for industrial boilers, reaction kettles, storage tanks, and circulating water systems, suitable for measuring conductive liquids.
