Product Introduction

The HTD type LVDT displacement sensor is a differential transformer with a movable iron core. The power output it produces is proportional to the displacement of its separate movable iron core, which enables automatic monitoring and control of displacement with excellent resolution and repeatability. The HTD LVDT sensor is based on the principle of differential inductance, the mechanical quantity of linear motion is converted into electrical quantity to realize the automatic monitoring and control of displacement.

Working Princinple of LVDT Displacement Sensor


The principle of differential inductance is applied, which can convert the mechanical quantity of linear motion into electrical signal. The electrical output signal of the LVDT displacement sensor is the differential AC voltage between the two secondary windings, which varies with the axial position of the iron core in the LVDT coil. In general, the AC output voltage is converted into a more convenient high-level DC voltage or current through an appropriate electronic circuit.



LVDT Sensor Application


Linear displacement sensor is commonly used for measuring the displacement in main stop valve actuators, valve opening and oil level of oil tank of steam turbine unit in power plant. It can be widely used in industrial production, national defense engineering and scientific research institutes.

High temperature and corrosion resistant LVDT sensors can be customized for severe working conditions.
